Review: Voices of diversity
Various organisations from Constance presented their views on the positive aspects of diversity in the city of Constance in short creative contributions.
Diversity is a core value in our society and includes aspects such as cultural origin, gender, physical abilities, religion, sexual identity and much more.
At the event ‘Voices of Diversity’, 20 different organisations from Constance presented their personal perspectives on the importance of diversity for the city of Constance.
Among others, Café Mondial, the Hoffnungshäuser and Save me Konstanz e.V. as well as our cooperation partners, the Office for Education and Sport of the City of Constance and the Stabsstelle Konstanz International were present. In numerous videos, posters, speeches, readings, songs and dance performances, the organisations showed the diversity of the city of Constance.
The various objects that the organisations brought with them represented the diversity. Theo Marinis from the Centre for Multilingualism brought along the flyers ‘Multilingualism in childhood - tips for parents’, which were translated into various languages (including Greek, Italian, Farsi, Ukrainian and Romanian). He pointed out that multilingualism plays an important role in Constance in terms of the city's diversity.
